The bay of Canneto, to the north of the center of Lipari: a village promenade, boats, and the famous Spiaggia Bianca, made bright by the pumice that has been the island's industry for a century. The water above the clear seabed takes on Caribbean tones; from here, boats depart for the pumice quarries.
