Segesta was an ancient Elimian city located in the northwestern part of Sicily. The old city stands on Mount Barbaro, in the municipality of Calatafimi Segesta, in the free municipal consortium of Trapani, just a few kilometers from Alcamo and Castellammare del Golfo.
