Museo delle maioliche "Stanze al genio"

Museo delle maioliche "Stanze al genio" — Palermo

The Stanze al Genio Museum of Maiolica houses an exhibition of nearly 5000 examples of Italian maiolica tiles from the 15th to the 19th century arranged across 9 rooms. The Museum is located within a portion of the noble floor of the 17th-century Palazzo Torre Pirajno, in the municipality of Palermo at Via Giuseppe Garibaldi n. 11. The noble floor has been recently restored, and inside you can see 18th and 19th-century ceiling decorations and period lambries. The path unfolds within a house museum that is actually inhabited and open to the public every day by reservation. Inside, there are also minor collections of period stationery, contemporary ceramics, terracotta reliefs from the 18th and 19th centuries, and modern antiques.
